Senior Saints FIESTA Luncheon 2011

Each year we honor the older members of our congregation with a luncheon on the fall. The youth group does all of the table serving, dressed in black & white. They also often help with prep and provide the dining entertainment with a few songs. Timbra does a lot of the cooking ahead of time and this year she had sick kids at home, but was still able to get all of the food over to the building and the show went on as usual. . .our youth group is awesome and always does an amazing job. And we really want the older members of the congregation to know that we look up to them as examples of faith. We hope that serving them a simple meal each year and sharing some prayer and songs, is a good reminder and a way of showing our gratitude for their years of service to our God.

Pig Pickin'

There's no telling just how many people look forward to the Baker's (and others) putting together the annual Pig Pickin' year after year!!! A good time is always had by all. . .and not just in the eating, but in the fellowship and seeing friends that some only see on this VERY special occasion each year :)

Farewell to our AIM team

In late July we spent the afternoon hugging good-bye, thanking and congratulating our second AIM team, on a job well done. Our congregation has been stretched and has grown spiritually because of the work this team has done. We are thankful for the time we were able to spend with them as they work to always follow God's lead in their lives. Congratulations on a job well done Dusty, Glenna, Beth & Jacob. We hope to have you ALL here visiting (or living) whenever you have opportunity over the years!

4th of July 2011

Teh 4th of July festivities are always a great deal of fun!!!! This year was our 3rd year with an AIM team and our third year handing out free hot dogs to the community. . .it really seems to touch people, just passing by our building on their way to fun and fireworks, that we'd offer free parking and free food to ANYONE!
